What is AI LEAP?
AI LEAP is a learning program that is personally tailored into a development plan for each individual engineer according to their ambitions, strengths and technical goals. In practice, this means sitting down together and discussing where you would want to grow towards. The program is mainly divided into three tracks: Tech, Delivery and Strategy, each of which will be explained later in this blog.
For now, some highlights of this program include:
- Bi-annual reflections to track progress and updating your personal plan.
- Access to coaching sessions, a personal learning budget, and in-depth training led by expert colleagues or external specialists.
- A learning environment that encourages taking ownership of projects and applying new knowledge immediately, while always having a senior colleague available in the background for questions and tips.
- We use bi-weekly “Friday Tech Demos” to give engineers a place to share interesting new tools, the DOs and DON’Ts from their latest project, and much more. These sessions ensure that we all stay up-to-date with the latest developments in tech in a lighthearted manner. The perfect way to end a week of working hard on your client projects.
Three development tracks
AI LEAP offers three tracks that each represent a core capability of engineers at Enjins: Tech, Delivery and Strategy. These tracks contain learning paths with relevant steps for every seniority level, aiming to bring you to that next stage in your career. They’re not rigid career ladders, so think of them more as directions you can orient yourself toward.
Tech Track
Focuses on growing your tech skills: AI, ML, LLM and data engineering, and more importantly on how to then share your gained knowledge of these skills with the rest of the team.

- Engineering quality: Develop an engineering mindset and drive design choices that lead to reliable solutions.
- Knowledge sharing: Share knowledge and learn to help your colleagues’ technical skills grow.
Delivery Track
Focuses on the intersection of good engineering and client impact.
- Consultancy skills: Translate complex business needs into solutions that work, not just on a technical level.
- Project leadership: Monitor the progress and potential of projects and keep an eye open for new opportunities for growth.
- Relationship management: Build real connections with clients so you can empathize and understand what they actually need.
Strategy Track
Focuses on applying your knowledge of AI engineering strategically to help position Enjins in the market.
- Market approach: Help shape how Enjins should position itself in new and evolving markets.
- Business development: Identify and explore new opportunities within the AI space.
- Strategic consultancy: Advise clients on their long-term AI strategy and continuously refine our “Design Sprint” methodology.
Understanding the Climate Domain
Being an AI Engineer at Enjins means more than just the code; it requires a deep understanding of the Climate Tech landscape.
We invest in this domain knowledge by:
- Organizing AI x Climate events.
- Inviting external climate experts to share their insights.
- Sharing our Climate Tech domain knowledge during Friday Tech Demo’s.
- Hosting “Hackathons for Climate” to solve tangible environmental challenges.
